CALL TO ARTISTS beginning immediately: Call to photographers for a juried photographic exhibition titled: “Skin”. Apply for a chance to show your work at one of the newest and most exciting galleries in the heart of the Scottsdale Arts District. This area is the 4th largest art district in the United States, guaranteeing your work to be seen by many art lovers. Method Art is a gallery where photography is not only strongly supported, but also highly celebrated. This opportunity also includes exposure of your work during Scottsdale Artwalk every Thursday nights. This has been a 30 year long tradition of over 70 galleries opening up their doors to a large variety of artists and artwork. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to showcase your work among many other artists in an extremely popular art district. Deadline for applicants is April 14th, 2012.

The concept of skin can be defined in so many ways. What is Skin? What does it mean to our culture? How does it affect the way we look at ourselves? Skin in any state, whether it is damaged, altered, or even gone; we encourage the Artist’s diverse perspectives on the open theme. We are searching for unconventional, tasteful, gallery quality images to be displayed.

Artists chosen to exhibit their work will be announced and notified by April 16th, 2012. A cash award (cash prize to be announced) and fellowship prize will also be given to the best in show winner; this individual will be invited to show their work at the gallery for a period of 6 months. The exhibition will take place from May 1st- June 30th, 2012 with the opening reception being on May 3rd at Method Art Gallery located in Old Town Scottsdale, AZ.
